The Montgomery County Development Corporation (MCDC) seeks a progressive and dynamic individual to lead economic development activities within Montgomery County.  The Director’s primary function will be to lead a proactive, responsive and collaborative organization that promotes job creation, retention and economic vitality of Montgomery County and all communities located within the County.  The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  The preferred candidate will possess 3 or more years of experience in business/economic development within a local, regional or state economic development organization.  The ability to write grants and an understanding of state and federal grant processes is important, so a demonstrated experience with agency, state and federal funding policies is necessary.  Relocation to live within the area is required.  Salary and benefits commensurate to your experience.  If you have the leadership and business development skills necessary and the desire to help the people of southwest Iowa improve their quality of life and build a stronger economic future, send your résumé, cover letter and salary history to:  MCDC, 307 E.  Nuisance Control Officer

The City of Red Oak, Iowa is accepting applications for the position of Nuisance Control Officer.  Position responsible for the enforcement of nuisance and animal control ordinances within the City, along with performing mowing, grounds keeping and general maintenance duties.  Applicant must have good communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to present themselves in a professional manner.  Must be able to work well with the public.  Must possess a valid Iowa Drivers License and a High School Diploma or GED.  Questions regarding the position should be directed to City Administrator Brad Wright at (712)623-6510.  Applications are available at City Hall or can be downloaded at city.redoakiowa.com.
